SwimCoach — Support

Questions, problems, or a swim that did not analyse the way you expected: email arnav.kewalram@gmail.com. Attaching the clip helps enormously.

Filming that works

The model needs to see the whole swimmer, side on. The framing guide and level indicator on the record screen are there for exactly this:

"No horizontal swimmer detected" or "Too few frames held a swimmer"

The clip did not contain enough frames in which a swimmer's body could be tracked. Usually the swimmer was too far away, seen from too high an angle, or out of frame for most of the clip. Stay within roughly 3–6 m, re-film following the guidance above, or try a different section of the video.

Can I try it without a pool?

Yes. Tap Try a sample swim on the Home screen. Three real front crawl clips ship inside the app, and running one performs the identical on-device analysis your own footage receives. Sample swims are not written to your history, so they cannot move your trends or your streak.

Which strokes does it analyse?

Freestyle (front crawl) only. Footage of other strokes will either be rejected or scored against faults that do not apply to that stroke.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. Everything — pose detection, the model, your history — runs and lives on your iPhone. The app makes no network requests.

Deleting your data

The About screen can delete every saved session and its video, or just the video from swims older than an age you pick. Deleting the app removes all of its data.

Camera or microphone access was denied

The record screen offers an Open Settings button that takes you straight to SwimCoach's permissions. Audio is only captured so poolside notes are audible on playback; it is never analysed.
